Job title: GIS/Business Analyst
Location: Baltimore, MD
Albrecht Engineering is seeking a full-time GIS/Business Analyst to work on a variety of projects.
Responsibilities:
- Management of manual and automated data quality assurance procedures on a versioned geodatabase performed by internal editors as well as those transmitted from external projects
- Creating and modifying SQL queries for QA/QC processes pertaining to GIS utility infrastructure
Assist in the creation of documentation to reflect workflows and decisions made during requirements gathering sessions with stakeholders as well as those identified during development of the system - Assist in application testing to ensure product meets client specifications
- Interact with external and internal clients
- Other GIS mapping and database tasks as needed
Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in GIS, Geography, Information Management/Technology, Engineering, or related discipline
- 0 – 3 years of related experience
- Experience with ArcGIS (ArcMap and ArcCatalog)
- Experience with Microsoft Office (with specific regard to Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel)
- Experience with ModelBuilder and/or Python desired
- Strong written and oral communication skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively
Must be outgoing, self-motivated, and be able to complete assignments on time with a relatively low level of supervision
