Provided structural engineering services for a new, concrete framed water pumping station. The station is approximately 4,500 sf and has a capacity of 4 MGD. The station provides a backup water supply to increase reliability in the 630 West pressure zone.
The scope of work included structural engineering for a single story pumping station with a lower level basement. Responsible for the design of all structural elements, which included: concrete basement walls, base slab, elevated framing, crane support columns, masonry walls, precast concrete ceiling, and development of loading diagrams for a light-gage metal truss roof.
